At 80 I fell in love with a 20-year-old man and invited him to live with me

He's gone.

In the following days I did not try to “strengthen” my memory.

I spoke to my doctor.

I talked to an independent lawyer.

Linda's documents were copied and verified.

The old accounts were analyzed.

I wasn't going to turn some old letters and memories into an allegation without evidence.

The truth that came to the surface was less spectacular than I was afraid.

But for me it was more painful.

Richard had learned that David and Sarah had used significant sums from a family fund he was managing.

He did not necessarily accuse them of theft, but he thought they had hidden transactions and had made decisions without his consent.

He wanted to change the way the goods were managed.

Linda had found out.

Richard had offered him money because he intended to end his collaboration with her and ensured him a period of transition.

At least that's what the documents were supported.
