Part 2: My millionaire husband left me nothing in his will after 48 years of marriage except a note with an address — when I arrived there, what I saw made me fall to my knees.

Now I knew why Thomas had created the trust.

Raymond wasn't simply curious.

He was waiting.

I walked into the house.

Raymond was sitting at my kitchen table.

His wife, Elaine, stood beside the refrigerator.

Both turned when they saw me.

"There you are!" Raymond exclaimed. "We've been worried."

I placed my handbag on the counter.

"How did you get inside?"

He smiled.

"Thomas gave me a spare key years ago."

"Give it back."

The smile disappeared.

"Margaret?"

"My key, Raymond."

Elaine stepped forward.

"There's no reason to be unpleasant."

I looked at her.

"Then don't enter my home without permission."

Raymond slowly removed a key from his pocket.

He placed it on the table.

"We're family."

I stared at him.

"So everyone keeps telling me."

Raymond cleared his throat.

"We actually came to discuss something important."

"Of course you did."

He ignored my tone.

"Thomas's business interests need to be settled. The accountants have been calling."
