Part 2: My millionaire husband left me nothing in his will after 48 years of marriage except a note with an address — when I arrived there, what I saw made me fall to my knees.

My heart began pounding.

He wanted me to sign away rights he wasn't even sure I possessed.

And he wanted me to do it before I understood the trust.

I closed the folder.

"No."

Raymond blinked.

"Excuse me?"

"I'm not signing anything."

His expression hardened.

"Margaret, with all due respect, you have never understood the company."

"Then I'm fortunate I can afford to hire people who do."

He laughed.

"With what money?"

I looked directly into his eyes.

"The money Thomas left me."

Raymond stopped smiling.

For several seconds, nobody spoke.

Then he leaned forward.

"What exactly did Harrison tell you?"

The question was so quick, so specific, that I felt a chill.

I hadn't mentioned Nathan.

I hadn't mentioned the trust.

Yet Raymond already knew where I had been.

"How do you know I met Mr. Harrison?"

Raymond looked away.

Elaine suddenly became interested in the curtains.

And I understood.
