She named the snake Dorato.
At first, her parents were somewhat concerned, but Camilla took the care of her pet very seriously. She read everything she could find on keeping snakes, closely monitored the temperature and humidity, and did everything in her power to provide the python with the best possible living conditions.
Years passed. Camilla grew up, and Dorato grew along with her. The little snake gradually transformed into a massive, heavy python that the young woman struggled to lift, even with both hands.
A spacious, separate enclosure was set up for it within the house. The temperature was kept constant; the space included a large water basin and offered enough room for the snake to move around freely. Camilla had become so accustomed to her unusual pet that she no longer felt any fear. She would occasionally take Dorato out of his enclosure and let him move around the room. The python would spend hours near the sofa or crawl slowly across the floor.Nearly seven years passed in this way.
