THE MOTHERS ARE ALIVE & they identified all 8 children who were π*ππππ! Plus New updated information
So two mothers. Both shot. Both in hospitals. Both now having to identify the bodies of their own children.

Elkins carjacked a red Kia Sportage and led police on a chase down Interstate 49 into Bossier City. At 6:25 a.m., officers exchanged gunfire with him. At 7:03 a.m., he was pronounced dead at the scene. It remains unclear whether he was killed by police bullets or his own hand. Louisiana State Police is investigating.
βThis by far was probably one of the most challenging incidents SPD has ever faced,β said Chief Wayne Smith. βWe were working five different crime scenes simultaneously.β
The timeline is clinical. The horror is not. One child was found on the roof β shot while scrambling away. Three people β a woman, the 13-year-old survivor, and one other child β managed to get out. The rest did not.
At a press conference Sunday, family members did not speak. Instead, advocates read their words. βAllow them to grieve,β one leader said. βDo not make this about your social media clicks. It is about them.β
Councilman Grayson Bush addressed the rumors directly. βThe misinformation that has been sent to me today would astound you. There is no way anyone can have 100% information until officers finish their investigation.β
Then Sheriff White Horn stood up. His voice was not gentle. βHow much are the lives of these victims worth?β he asked. βBecause the truth is this: domestic violence is not a private issue. It is a community issue. When we fail to respond in a coordinated way, people die.β
He reminded the room that just ten days earlier, his department had opened a new domestic violence unit. βI donβt believe any of us could have imagined that only days later, our community would be shaken by the most heartbreaking tragedy we have ever witnessed.β
School superintendent Keith Burton described a kindergartner walking silently down the hall Monday morning. βShe put her head on the shoulder of a counselor and just cried.β One of the dead six-year-olds had just been celebrated for meeting his reading goals last week. βNow he is gone.β
The mothers are alive. That is the small mercy in this story. But they are alive in hospital beds, with bullet wounds, with nothing but the memory of their childrenβs faces as they identified each small body.
Christina Snowβs three children: Sariah, 11, Cadarian, 6, and Brilan, 5. All dead. She is still in critical condition.
Sheniqua Elkins, the wife, lost children too β though police have not yet specified which ones belonged to which mother. She is also recovering.
The family had one direct message for the public: βLeave the social media chatter alone. Keep them the priority. Respect their wishes as they go through surgery and healing and a dark place they donβt know how to navigate.β
One child survived. Two mothers survived. Eight children did not.
Their names are Jayla, Shayla, Kayla, Leila, Marquaden, Sariah, Cadarian, and Brilan. Ages 3 to 11. Killed by their father or their uncle β execution style β before dawn on a Sunday.
βWe love them,β a pastor said at the close of the press conference. βWe loose them. And we lean on Jesus.β
Two vigils are planned. One Monday evening. Another Wednesday. Both at the house on West 79th Street.
The investigation continues. The mothers are still in the hospital. And the only surviving child β the 13-year-old who jumped off a roof with bullets behind him β is now healing from broken bones and the knowledge that everyone else in the house did not make it out alive.
