That night, my twins refused to sleep in their own beds.
Lily took me by the hand, trying to hold back tears.
“Mom, we don’t want to go to Grandpa’s anymore.”
“Why, honey?”
Emily suddenly interrupted her sister.
"Lily, don't tell her! Grandma warned us!”
I was paralyzed.
“What did you warn them of?”
My daughters remained silent for a long time.
Emily finally whispered:
“He said that if we tell Mom, Grandpa will stop loving us.”
That night I couldn't hit the eye.
The next morning I took the two girls to the hospital.
Dr. Anderson examined my daughters. When asked to point out where it hurt, they both indicated exactly the same area of the lower back.
La expresión del médico se volvió seria.
«¿Se quedan a menudo con su abuelo?»
«Todos los fines de semana».
“And when did the pain start?”
Después de escuchar mi respuesta, ordenó inmediatamente unas pruebas adicionales.
