Part 2: My millionaire husband left me nothing in his will after 48 years of marriage except a note with an address — when I arrived there, what I saw made me fall to my knees.

"Saw whom?"

"The man with Thomas."

My pulse quickened.

"Who is he, Raymond?"

A long silence.

Then Raymond said something that made the room go cold.

"Margaret, that man is Nathan Harrison."

I slowly lowered the phone.

Nathan was still sitting across from me.

His expression had changed.

"What did he say?" Nathan asked.

I looked at the closed laptop.

Then at the notebook.

Then at the man who had just told me he was my husband's secret son.

"Raymond says you were at the store that night."

Nathan didn't deny it.

He closed his eyes.

And I suddenly understood why he had refused to identify the man in the footage.

"You were there?"

He nodded.

"Yes."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I promised my father."

My hands began trembling.

"Promised him what?"

Nathan reached into his jacket.

He removed a small silver key.

I recognized it instantly.

It belonged to Thomas's private safe in the upstairs office of the old store.
